This machine was designed to handle the transfer and handoff of 1.0m x .5m glass panels.  The conveyor totally retracts while the non-marring and totally compliant (in X, Y, and Z) end effectors hand off the glass panel to another process.  While one conveyor hands-off a panel, the other receives a panel. 

For maintenance, each conveyor and transfer swings out on an independent arm.
